1. Scope and who is responsible
This Privacy Policy explains how Pradeep Sharma, an individual merchant operating as Cosmic Drishti (“Cosmic Drishti”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) processes personal data when you use our website, customer portal, consultations, reports, calculators, wallet, and support channels.
It applies to customers and visitors. An astrologer who receives information through a confirmed booking may also have professional duties concerning that information, while Cosmic Drishti remains responsible for processing performed through the platform.
2. Personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Account and contact data: name, email address, Indian mobile number, verification status, account role, and Google account identifier if you choose Google sign-in;
- Authentication data: password hash, one-time-code verification records, session identifiers, login status, and security events;
- Birth and profile data: name, date and time of birth, whether the time is known, place of birth, coordinates, timezone, and saved profiles for you or a person you are authorised to add;
- Consultation data: selected astrologer, topic, offering, date and time, booking status, attendance, extension requests, and support records. Live video is carried by our video provider. We do not record a consultation unless recording is clearly disclosed and the required consent is obtained;
- Report and calculator data: inputs, language, product selected, generation status, result files, and download activity;
- Payment and wallet data: amount, currency, wallet balance and ledger entries, Razorpay order and payment identifiers, payment status, and refund or reversal references; and
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, cookies, request logs, timestamps, and diagnostic or security information.
3. How we receive data
We receive personal data directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, from an astrologer when they respond to a booking, and from service providers such as Google sign-in, Razorpay, the video provider, messaging providers, and astrology calculation providers. Please do not submit another person’s birth or contact data unless you are authorised to do so.
4. Why we use personal data
We process personal data to:
- create, verify, secure, and support your account;
- find astrologers, calculate availability, process booking requests, run video consultations, and manage extensions;
- calculate charts and generate, store, and deliver the reports or results you request;
- create payment orders, credit and debit the wallet, issue eligible reversals or refunds, and keep financial records;
- send verification codes, confirmations, service notices, and support replies;
- prevent fraud, abuse, double-booking, unauthorised access, and security incidents;
- diagnose faults, measure service reliability, and improve the Services; and
- comply with law and resolve complaints or disputes.
We rely on your consent where required and on other lawful uses permitted under applicable law. We do not currently use your data for behavioural advertising or sell personal data.
6. Payments and financial information
Razorpay operates the checkout used for wallet top-ups. Cosmic Drishti receives transaction identifiers, amounts, status, and related verification data, but does not receive or store your full card number, UPI PIN, CVV, or online banking password. Razorpay’s own privacy notice applies to information entered in its checkout.
8. How long data is kept
We keep personal data only for the time reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, to provide an active account, and to meet legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution obligations. Retention varies by record:
- session and one-time-code records expire after short security periods;
- profile and saved birth data remains until you delete it, close your account, or the purpose ends, subject to required retention;
- booking, wallet, payment, refund, and tax-related records may be retained for the period required by applicable law; and
- generated reports remain available for the period communicated in the product or account flow, after which files may be deleted or access may expire.
We may retain a limited record of a deletion request, fraud event, or legal dispute where necessary to demonstrate compliance or protect legal rights.
9. Security and data transfers
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to prevent unauthorised access, alteration, loss, or disclosure. No internet service can promise absolute security, so you should use a strong password, protect one-time codes, and tell us promptly about suspicious activity.
Some providers may process data outside your state or outside India. Where this occurs, we use providers and safeguards permitted by applicable law and limit the data transferred to what the Service requires.
10. Children
Paid Services and customer accounts are intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly create a paid account for a child. If you believe a child’s personal data has been submitted without the required parental consent or other lawful authority, contact us so we can review and delete or restrict it as appropriate.
11. Your choices and data rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for information about personal data being processed, request correction or completion, request erasure where retention is not required, withdraw consent for future processing, raise a grievance, and nominate another individual to exercise rights in the event of death or incapacity.
To make a request, email support@cosmicdrishti.com from your registered email or include your registered phone number. We may verify your identity and will respond within the period required by applicable law. Withdrawing consent or deleting required data may prevent us from continuing some Services.
12. Privacy and grievance contact
The person responsible for answering privacy questions and data grievances on behalf of Cosmic Drishti can be reached at support@cosmicdrishti.com or +91 91238 27035. Include “Privacy Request” in the subject and enough information to identify your account and request.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may use any complaint or appeal mechanism available under applicable data protection law. Other business contact details appear on our Contact page.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when our practices, providers, Services, or legal obligations change. The current effective date is displayed at the top. We will provide any additional notice or seek fresh consent where applicable law requires it.
